Walking & Hiking
You can find maps and links to all of my walking and hiking routes on my Komoot profile! You can also download the GPX tracks for use on your phone. Here are some apps available offline that you can use for walking/hiking when abroad.
Komoot world package: allows offline maps worldwide for a one time purchase of about $30 **note this can also be used on the computer and syncs with your phone.
Mapy.com: Open source. Allows one country downloaded for free, after that you must get a paid subscription. **note this can also be used on the computer and syncs with your phone.
Maps.me: Open source. Allows 10 countries to be downloaded for free, after that you must get a paid subscription.
Organic Maps: Open source. FREE! Allows unlimited downloads of maps. Does not have quite as many data points as the other two, but you can still do an on-the-fly route map from A to B and you can do a verbal instruction if you are riding or don’t want to look at your phone. ←—best for casual users who don’t need topography
